Professor Tadeusz Paleczny is a sociologist. For his whole scientific life he has been connected with the Jagiellonian University, where he obtained his doctorate in 1987 and postdoctoral degree in 1993. His research interests inlcude multiculturalism, new social movements and immigration in the United States and South America. Professor Paleczny is the author of many books, the most recent of which is Relacje miedzykulturowe w dobie kryzysu ideologii i polityki wielokulturowości [Intercultural Relations in the era of Multicultural Policy and Ideology Crisis] 2017. He teaches Intercultural Relations Theory and New Social Movements. Professor Paleczny was the director of this institute for many years, currently he is the Chairman of the Council of the Institute of Intercultural Studies
