Dr Małgorzata Kołaczek graduated in international relations from the Jagiellonian University and received a doctorate from political science in 2011 from the same university. In her research she focuses on ethnic problems, especially the Roma community and their situation in Central-Eastern Europe, as well as the activities of their leaders and nongovernmental Roma organizations. She authored a book Etniczna mobilizacja Romów a Unia Europejska: Polska, Słowacja, Węgry [European Union and Ethnic Mobilization of the Roma in Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary] (2014) She gives lectures in Social Campaigns for Minorities, Ethnic Mobilization of Minorities.
