Head of the Strategic Decisions Support Group of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania since January 2021

Egle has an extensive experience in both EU, international affairs and strategic planning in the public policy area. She has obtained Master of Arts degree in Medieval Studies of the University of Leeds, UK. She has also improved her professional knowledge and received additional training in the EU affaires, negotiations techniques, public management, strategic planning and leadership programmes in Lithuania and abroad.

Egle served two terms as cultural attaché in Brussels during the period of 1999-2005 and 2019-2021. She was involved in Lithuania’s EU membership negotiations in 2001-2003. While working in Belgium she implemented numerous co-operation projects in culture and arts, promoting Lithuanian artists and mediating cultural institutions in international co-operation. She was also representing Lithuania at the EU Council’s Culture Committee and Audio-visual Working Group.

The biggest part of her professional career was devoted for the cultural policy making acting in several high management positions at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania. She was the Director of the Strategic Planning Department and the Policy Advisor to the political team of the Minister of Culture. Egle also worked with EU affaires at the Government Office and was in charge of international relations at the State Audit Office.

She paints in her free time and is constantly improving her artistic skills at the courses for adults at Vilnius Academy of Arts.
