Dr Barbara Weżgowiec - a graduate of Polish Philology and Cultural Studies at the Jagiellonian University. In 2014 she defended her PhD in the field of literary studies at the Faculty of Artes Liberales of the University of Warsaw. She is also a credentialed guide to Krakow. Her research interests on the borderline of cultural and literary studies concern primarily: literature of the twentieth and twenty-first century (especially contemporary Polish prose, problems of the Polish-German borderland), issues related to geopoetics, relations between literature and memory, and modern museology. She teaches classes on World Literature, Communication theory, Travel Literature, and Multiculturalism in Contemporary Polish Literature.
