Professor Andrzej Porębski graduated in sociology from the Jagiellonian University and in 1989 completed a doctorate on Ethnic minorities in Europe. In 2012 he obtained a postdoctoral degree. He is interested in the sociology of nations and ethnic relations, the problems of minorities and social research methodology. Recently he published Wielokulturowość Szwajcarii na rozdrożu [The multiculturality of Switzerland at a crossroads] (2010). He gives lectures on Methodology of Social Research, Intercultural Relations in Europe and Switzerland’s Multiculturality. Professor Andrzej Porębski serves as a Vice-Dean for Financial Affairs at the Faculty of International and Political Studies.
